Just a few notes from our happy customers

June 2010

Steve & Michelle,

First, let me thank you for the hospitality and allowing me to hang out in the shop for 2 days. The bike is awesome. It now runs the way it should. Great for cruising or if I want to kick it into "Jack Ass" mode it is more than capable. The power and efficiency is extraordinary.

To anyone that is looking to make some upgrades to your motor, Steve is your man and GMR Performance is the place. Steve is to V-Twin motors and power what Harley Davidson is to American tradition. Trust me when I tell you that there is no one better when it comes to getting every ounce of power and performance out of your bike. Steve knows his stuff and it becomes extremely obvious when you talk to him. His straight forward and no non-sense approach to his work are definitely refreshing in this day and age of political correctness and "good enough" attitude. I personally took my bike from DFW, TX to AZ for Steve to tune and it was well worth the trip. I am extremely pleased with the performance of the bike.

Thanks again Steve for delivering exactly what you promised, I now have well over 5000 miles on the build and absolutely no regrets.

If you are thinking about more power and performance out of your bike, STOP thinking and call Steve for an upgrade today!

Steve-

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank-you. The motor upgrades and services you performed on my bike far exceed any workmanship that I have ever experienced from a dealer or local independent. I know that I called and asked many questions about cams, heads, etc before actually pulling the trigger on my build. You were very patient and informative in giving me accurate and proven information. The 6-hour drive from Southern CA was well worth it when it comes to top-notch workmanship. Your passion and integrity for what you do is truly visible when talking to you about motorcycle performance.

Let me assure you that I dont hesitate to drop your name and give them your number when asked, Who built your motor? I know your business will continue to grow and will refer everyone I know to GMR for performance work. I'm looking forward to seeing you & Michelle soon and riding that one-of-a-kind sporty. Make that scooter turn heads!!!

Again, thank you for doing quality workmanship. There isnt much of that around anymore. Keep it up Steve!!!

Hi Steve and Michelle;

Thanks for all the hard work on my engine upgrade, especially considering the email and phone problems from half way around the world. I am about half way through breaking in my new 98" kit and all I can say is wow. I immediately noticed a 10 degree drop in oil temperature and a smoother idle. I can't wait to finish breaking it all in.

Thanks again,

Dear Steve and Michele,

I know I was a pain customer trying to get everything to me as fast as I wanted it and also the problem with the bolt in the head did not help matters any, so I wanted to send you a picture of the completed bike and a scan of the last three runs on the dyno. As you can see with the CV carb most of the runs were averaging about 105 hp and 120 lbs or torque. The guys at the Harley store were very impressed, especially with the drag pipes (though I used a 5/16 fender washer mounted on a locking swivel to create back pressure and to be able to tune the pipes).

The best thing I can say was that my “brother” who helped me assemble the bike was really impressed after speaking with Steve. He is a true mechanic, not just a parts changer and he thought Steve’s knowledge about the motors and what he (Steve) was doing to the motor with the kit was excellent.

I hate to sound like an infomercial, but I think that this is the most bang for the buck you can get when upgrading your mill.

Thank you very much for everything

I want to thank you for your complete understanding with my bike. The new 117 is nothing short of amazing, my wife and I love the new found power for touring. After using other top names builders that only seemed to want to use "their" product. It was refreshing to find a shop that would really listen to what I wanted.  6th gear is now 100% usable when the bike is loaded down. We have over 15,000 miles on the new engine and are loving every mile we ride.  Thank you very much for your attention to detail to get my bagger sorted out.

Steve & Co,
I just wanted to thank you for all the service and support you provided me back in '08 with my 88"->98" conversion.  I had some down time with the bike due to an accident late last year, but finally repaired the bike and was able to get the dyno tune done.   Riding this bike has been a blast since the build, but finally seeing the numbers and having the guys at Illinois Harley complement me on the power this build made was a rush- like you, they work with bikes every day so it means something to get compliments from them!  :)
I was fortunate enough to have had the bike in a dyno shoot-out (on the same dyno machine) back in '05 when it was a "stage 1" 88 inch motor so I have a baseline dyno run, which is included in the 88 and 98 pdf file, and then just the 98" build (GMR top end, TW-6, DTT, Hooker Troublemakers) with and w/o the SE air cleaner in the other pdf.  It's nice to be a member of the 100/100 club!
Thanks again, and if I can swing the Road King next year, I'll be thinking seriously about a 117 build!!
Take care,
Dan O'Hare

Just want you to know that your donations, along with others, helped three kids have a christmas gift from santa, and some food too. A little from a lot of people adds up. I combined your money with others who donated and told them that you were one of the donors and simply left it at that. All totaled I raised a little over $200 for these kids.

Steve, you and Michele are putting out a quality product and service into a community where it is very much needed. Your reputation around here is growing stronger due to word of mouth - mine in particular. So when you support a cause, it only adds to your integrity.

Thanks to both of you.

I'll be coming to see you for my primary belt replacement in early Feb.

A quick note to you both. The new 107 engine package is just what I needed. I have to say that the bike has more than enough power for our touring needs.  We now have just over 22,000 miles on it!!!! I told you that we loved to ride. The engine makes riding my ultra so much more fun. In stock form the bike just did not have the power to pull the moutains.

Even though it was a long trip from Utah it was more than worth it. Look to see both of you this coming summer. You both showed what a top notch shop is run like. I have told several others about the kit and at first they did not believe the power that I told them it made. Well after we up and ran away from the pack two up and loaded down with gear. They sure believe me now HA HA  You will have all of my future engine work with out a doubt. The wife is looking to upgrade here RK ... Might just have to do that this summer on our trip down to see you guys again.
